Interior Minister Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak opened the Qatar Charity Polyclinic in Ayigya Zongo, a community in Ashanti's Oforikrom Municipality, Kumasi Mail reported. According to the report, he said the clinic should put medical services nearer to people living in the area and neighbouring communities.
Residents of Ayigya Zongo and nearby communities, the minister says, have had to travel far for essential care, so a clinic with a delivery room, pharmacy and wards matters to families in Oforikrom. The announced AstroTurf parks at Ayigya, Tafo and Aboaso are aimed at young people in Zongo communities, who would gain places to play if they are built.
